Progress
The residents’ association was inaugurated on 15 October 2018 at a public meeting in St Chad’s church. Since then steady progress has been made in representing the residents. This progress would not be possible without the contributions of individual residents, many of whom have either drawn issues to our attention, or taken them up with the relevant authorities themselves.
We particularly thank residents who have submitted individual planning objections; made representations to Watson about site issues; instituted social activities (book club, Christmas carols etc.) contacted Watson or David Wilson Homes or the Council about issues of concern and suggested issues we could tackle.
In our discussions with David Wilson Homes, Watson and the Council we have demonstrated that it is in all our interests to have a happy, thriving community. We have seen a real commitment from them to listen and we intend to build upon those good relationships.
