  • Arranged a meeting with the sub-committee and agreed to use property type (Clementhorpe 4), as an appeal for a reduction in banding.
  • Compiled a three page document detailing evidence including incorrect assessment in house dimensions, and price comparison of both the marketplace and individual properties of a similar type in the area.
  • This was forwarded to the Valuation Office Agency, who have now responded with the decision not to change the banding, or the effective date.
  • Have now appealed against this decision to the Valuation Tribunal and now await a date for the Valuation hearing to present the evidence.
March 2020 update
  • After almost 12 months and numerous reminders, we are still waiting a final decision from the Council Tax Valuation Office after our hearing to inform us if we have been successful in reducing the band.
